We recently received a nature-inspired playground, crafted with care by Bespoke Playgrounds in 2023, with generous support of FRRR and Community Gambling Benefit Fund grants. This enchanting addition offered our children the opportunity to immerse themselves in the wonders of the natural world right here at our kindergarten. From climbing to exploring, digging, and discovering, this playground was designed to engage young minds in the joys of outdoor play and hands-on learning. The benefits are boundless: it encourages physical activity, stimulates imaginative play, and fosters a deeper connection with the environment.

Our kindergarten delivers C&K Quality Kindergarten Program. Kindergarten, also known as pre-prep or preschool, is a program for children who are turning 4 by June 30 in the year before Prep. C&K's kindy programs are government-approved and led by experienced and university qualified teachers. Our program supports children's curiosity, creativity, problem solving, resilience and real-world knowledge and skills.

C&K knows that children do not learn in isolation, so learning is approached as a collaborative relationship between teachers, educators, children and families. At C&K we believe children are powerful learners, active citizens, thinkers and theorisers - this is at the heart of our early childhood curriculum. We've designed our indoor and outdoor spaces to ignite imaginations and nurture healthy minds and bodies. Learning through play is an integral part of our education program.

Our kindergarten resides in a historic building that carries with it a rich and storied legacy. Erected in 1908, this venerable structure marked a pivotal moment in the local educational landscape, replacing the original school established in 1897. With the shifting tides of time, the Pomona school transitioned to new premises on Station Street in 1975, leading to the relocation of some of the original school buildings to various sites. It wasn't until 1985 that our building found its calling as a kindergarten, becoming the welcoming and nurturing home for generations of young learners in our vibrant community.

This building's history is a testament to the enduring spirit of education and community, and it continues to play a vital role in shaping the future of our children.
